December 8, 2017 – As mentioned in HFMWeek and HedgeFund Alert, LUX Fund Technology and Solutions (LUX FTS), a business and technology solutions provider for the alternative asset industry, today announced Series A Financing from Credit Suisse Asset Management’s NEXT Investors, a New York-based firm that identifies minority growth equity investment opportunities in private technology and services companies. Nik Takmopoulos, CPA: President and Founding Member

Nik brings close to 25 years’ experience in financial services, operations and technology to LUX Fund Technology and Solutions. Under his leadership, LUX FTS has grown into a multimillion dollar company with its flagship product Transcend, a SaaS-based front-to-back office automation technology platform. As the day-to-day leader of the company, Nik owns the strategic vision for the business as well as building a culture of inclusivity and excellence. Nik is responsible for building out the growth of the company for clients, employees and investors, as well as reporting to the Board of Directors. Nik was the Director of Operations of the multi-manager hedge fund Plural Investments and has held senior roles at Goldman Sachs Prime Brokerage and Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career he worked as an auditor and accountant for Arthur Anderson. Nik is a graduate of Baruch College, where he earned his BBA in Accounting where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a registered CPA with the State of New York.
Jeremy Siegel: Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy brings 24 years of experience in financial services with specific expertise working with hedge funds globally to grow their businesses through technology, operations and institutional systems. He will lead the company’s growth phase as it builds out innovative data solutions for the alternative asset sector. Jeremy joins LUX from Credit Suisse where he was Managing Director in the Global Markets division and Global Head of the Prime Consulting team. He has a proven track record of successfully working with hundreds of hedge funds to uniquely scale their niche business models and trading strategy through processes, outsourcing, oversight and control. He also served on the boards of Viteos and Paladyne Systems. Jeremy previously worked at Eze Castle Integration, Morgan Stanley and started his career at American Express. He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Economics from Queens College.

Patrick has nearly 20 years of expertise in financial services and technology and is one of the founding partners of LUX Fund Technology and Solutions. Patrick manages all customer-facing responsibilities for the company and is the driving force behind client relationships, account management and new business development. Prior to founding LUX FTS, Patrick focused on new business development, project management and technology development in the alternative asset consulting space. He has also worked at Goldman Sachs Prime Brokerage, Advent Software and Cambridge Associates.

Patrick is a member of the CFA Institute. He holds his MS in management of technology from New York University and his BS in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Chris has 20 years of experience designing, developing and delivering technology for the financial services industry. As LUX Fund Technology & Solutions’ Chief Technology Officer, Chris oversees the building and deploying of the solutions in the company’s flagship product Transcend, a SaaS-based front-to-back office automation technology platform. Chris is also a member of the company’s leadership team, where he plays an essential role in the overall strategy of LUX FTS. Prior to joining LUX FTS in early 2018, Chris spent 16 years with Point 72 Asset Management/SAC Capital Advisors successfully fulfilling IT roles with responsibility for software products and solutions utilized in every facet of the fund. He was most recently the director of front office IT, where his solutions were utilized by 100 portfolio managers and their investment teams, on a daily basis. Chris was previously the founder and managing partner at a software consultancy for five years, where he worked with a number of well-known clients, including Pitney Bowes, American Express and Moody’s. Before that, Chris was an independent software developer. Chris earned his BS in industrial engineering from the University of New Haven where he graduated Cum Laude.
Jennifer Lui, CPA, CFA: Chief Administrative Officer

Jennifer brings nearly 25 years of experience in portfolio accounting to LUX Fund Technology and Solutions. Jennifer’s specialties include Advent and Geneva implementations, with an emphasis in accounting workflows, report design and process re-engineering. Before joining LUX FTS in 2013, Jennifer focused on designing customized accounting reports and project management infrastructure for hedge funds, including FX/forward calculations, equity swaps and credit default swap presentation. Previously, she worked at Goldman Sachs and Arthur Andersen’s Capital Markets Group.

Jennifer is a member of the CFA Institute, NYSSCPA, AICPA and NYSSA. Jennifer earned her MBA in finance and economics from New York University and her BS in accounting and finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Cody brings more than 15 years of professional software development to LUX Fund Technology and Solutions, including building cutting edge enterprise software with specialties in SQL, C#, Python, and Angular. As the head of product development for LUX FTS, Cody is responsible for the planning and production of the company’s flagship product Transcend, a SaaS-based front-to-back office automation technology platform. That includes converting all customer specifications into bespoke software designs. Prior to joining LUX FTS in 2017, Cody was a senior developer and team lead at MIK Fund Services, focused on custom software solutions for hedge funds for more than six years. Before that, Cody was a consultant with digital agency Forbin Group, where he worked for eight years on a variety of Web-based projects for startup companies. Earlier in his career, Cody was a software developer for at Microsoft. Cody earned his BS in business administration and information systems from Western Washington University. He has completed graduate work in artificial intelligence and real-time simulation.
